About Your Teacher

Lee Vint is a very experienced full-time professional piano & keyboard tutor, enjoying a full-time professional musical performing career spanning 10 years between 1988 & 1998 - during which time he worked for the prestigious Holland America Cruise Line, the Rank Organisation (Butlins, Haven & Warner) & The British Forces, to name but a few.

He has performed live at a great many venues, which include - The Royal Festival Hall, The Palace Theatre in Manchester & Godinton House in Kent - directing and backing a multitude of guest cabaret artist's spots including - The Dallas Boys, the late great Kenny Baker (R2-D2), the late Screaming Lord Sutch, Phil Butler, Paul Burling, Martin Daniels, Stu Francis, Bert Weedon, Rusty Lee, Stuart Gillies, Derek Hatton, Pete Conway (Robbie Williams's Father!) & Dave Evans (Lee Evans's Father!). He was MD for all the children's talent competitions at Britain's largest holiday centre - Butlin's Minehead - throughout the entire 1997 season, and has huge experience of coaching and encouraging young people to realise their full potential.

He has been playing the piano for over 35 years, and has an average score of 92% with ABRSM (piano grades 5 to 8).. He has a full DBS disclosure, and has taught students from 7 to 70. His excellent personal skills, and friendly outgoing personality, have served him well throughout his musical career.

Lee has played, performed and taught from a young age - from pianist of choice for BYDO (Bedfordshire Youth Dance Orchestra) in his teens, to French Horn regular for the 1st Bedfordshire Youth Concert Band. From appearing on stage at the Royal Festival Hall on London's South Bank at age 14 - under the baton of Geoffrey Brand - to teaching young, and not so young, throughout his college years. Whether cruising down the Panama Canal on a luxury liner, playing cool jazz poolside on a grand piano to happy holiday makers, rocking packed dance floors to our troops abroad, or teaching a budding young musician how to play their favourite track, or how to prepare for an important exam, we doubt you will find a better CV or facilities!

These days Lee is a dedicated family man, residing in Ashford, Kent. He has recently performed various voluntary musical duties - pianist, choir & horn - for his local church in Gt. Chart, and Pilgrim's Hospice in Ashford. Recent musical engagements have included playing piano for Menzies 40th anniversary celebrations, and playing horn during the Pentecost celebrations in Ashford.
